My first was a 2001 Yamaha Thundercat, and I'd definitely have another. Fantastic bikes ____________________ Suzuki GSX-R750K4 ~ Mivv GP |

My first, and therefore previous, bike was an Arpilia RS50. I thought it was a great bike, with some mods it was very fast, great fun in the bends and even managed to over take bigger bikes on many occasions, especially roundabouts - much to their confusion!
that little bike even taught me a lot about mechanics as it needed two engine rebuilds in the time i had it, once when i bought it to do,a nd once not long before i sold it because the seal i'd used originally wasn't a genuine part - but lasted many miles.
but all that said, i dont think i'd personally have another one. but if i have kids one day - and they show an interest in bikes then i'll definitely try and get them the same sort of bike.

Technicaly an xreg gilera runner 50 did about three miles before i decided scoots arn't for me I even fitted 180 sp forks and shock to try and get it to feel nicer to ride with no avail, went thru a few bikes in a couple of months and finnaly settled on a y reg hyosung cruise 2 which i class as my first bike (first long term bike)
100% reliable economical and pretty good for a first bike, custom painted mine head to toe kawasaki pearle orange with black flames pinstriped in silver, blacked the engine and polished the cases and fins, custom exhaust, saddle bags, screen the lot, i fitted stiffer shocks and added fork spacers to handle my 6'5 self and the bike did handle well.
The only real gripe with the bike is its tendancy to for the chain to resonate vibration if its was little loose and sounded horrible untill you adjusted the chain,
All in all it stood well to year round use for three years or so and if i was back on a 125 i would probably get another one.
I have just tried using the rac free reg checker to see if it was still on the road but can't find the checker on their site anymore

that is my current bike which is also my first. i still love riding her and i think she is beautiful. i have booked my theory test on friday the 5th of sept so if i do pass that, and my practical test, i will sell her on. it will be a sad day since i have had her for 3 and a half years.
just looking at the pics from other users, i have sort of become fans of old skool lookign bikes. i'm 23 so either my tastes are starting to change or the looks of these bikes are growing on me considerably. ____________________ Hit the G spot. |

First bike was a Gilera GSM50 SuperMotard...
Would i have another one? Not a chance.
Was a nice bike and everything, but i wouldnt want another 50.
As for my other bikes, NSR, GS500, SV650 - Yes, would have another one of each tomorow if i could afford it. ____________________ CBT Aug '03 ... Gilera GSM 50 ... Honda NSR 125 Aug '04 ...
