i vote for K4.
its my ideal bike at the moment, rather that than a K7 as well.
its like the mid-age, best looking of the lot, and not stupidly small like the newer ones.
only thing is, the R6 and the K4 will have pretty much the same performance (although suzuki wont have a shit gearbox). its just what you prefer the look of.
the B1h doesnt really count, as it isnt actually a 600 ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. In summery, mattsprattuk is a gobby little sh1tebag, dopehead tw4t, but sadly for all of us, he probably isn't THAT full of sh1te!!

Is it an actual 05? ie. USD forks? If not, go for the gixer. The 03+ R6's don't have any gearbox issues anyway Matt. Just pick which ever is the best looking. ____________________ 2005 Yamaha R6 |

I've just got a K4, first big bike and I love it!
I sat on pretty much every sports 600 you could find in Newcastle and found it to be the most comfortable.
Not sure how big you are but I'm 6' and about 18stone and found the Kawa B1 was just too track focused for what I wanted, great as a second bike or just a sunday thrash but if I was going to go to work on it or have the missus' on the back, it just wasn't practical.
When it came down to it I ended up just going for the most comfortable and the one I thought looked and sounded best.
I spent 4200 on an 04 GSXR 600 from a dealer (needed finance so couldn't go private for a better deal) with 6000 on the clock. Just been serviced, 12months tax and test, standard can and Viper race can, King Carbon hugger and front, renntec grab rail and both the rear seat and hump. Not a scratch on the bike.
I'm more than happy with it, after a few miles getting to know the bike (with and without pillion) I feel like I've had her for years. It looks good, rides well and I think it's very confidence inspiring.
Just thought I'd let you know my thoughts as I've just gone through the same process as you.
Get the K4, you'll love it! |

Everyone says 750s get the handling of a 6 and the speed of a thou.
But I reckon it's more like the handling of a thou and the power of a 6. ____________________ Don't practice it until you get it right, practice it until you don't get it wrong.
