hey all, long time no post, how is everyone? Just thought i'd check see how many people live in the lincoln area as i am now based at raf cranwell.. Not sure he it comes under midlands or north in the forums. Get my zx6r back this weekend, after 7 weeks without it! Cant wait! So if anyone around here wants to in for a ride sometime let me know!

Well i live about 6 miles away from cranwell.

I know that RAF Waddington have biker meets/rideouts etc, there is a poster up about it in the ATC, I will have a look and get the details from it next time I am in there if you want

haha lol, nah, my roots are in the south.... cranwell also has a MC, but i thought i would check on here as well. what do you ridce, and whats your riding style? ie, i'm a hoon....

north of lincoln, about 15 miles.

willingham woods is a popular ride out on wednesday and sunday.. i also do a lot of ride outs with guys from retford who have discovered a mad wednesday night ride the other side of worksop.. not tried it myself yet but they are supposed to be fasttttt

lived there a bit, not anymore though pete, prob was a tad unfair of me to put that actually, but the lads i know from there, highlight of their ride out was practising getting their knee down on beckingham roundabout! then having a good conference about it even the cops don't chase you in worksop!

so what do you lot ride? and do you like a good fast rideout, or a more sedate chug along??? i ride a 97 zx6r and love to ride fast. (23 with a sports 600, what do you expect...)

I ride a gpx 600R on rideouts and like a good fast rideout too.

I also have a yzf 750 but don't feel feel as confident on that so pefer the gpx for rdeouts

the roads to willingham woods are awsome, watch out for the though, on the first bend up to market rasen after the straight bit from bishop bridge, seen them there a few times now. and also they hide on bikes in the de aston school

went on a46 today, was good. The a607 from melton to grantham was ace. But the best was some road near ruskington. 100 mile hour bend after 100 mile hour bend..

Follow the 607 through Grantham and follow signs out to Bourne. Now that gets fun!

That part of the 607 is good, but there isn't much of it.

You can tell when the roads get good because there's those "Don't kill yourself bikers!" signs everywhere.

I don't know tbh, I followed someone from Grantham to Bourne, so I wasn't really paying attention to directions.

its not worksop its a place the other side and they ride out from a honda showroom, billingham (or something like that). as said ive never tried it so dont know.

a couple of guys i ride with from retford are fast guys, ones on a busa and can corner pegs down through the twisties as well as the next guy..

anyway im on a zx10r and i can ride pretty quick when i want although i went on a mundane ride a week ago sunday around derbyshire and tbh, apart from the pain in my shoulders and back (from some of the more uneven roads and slow speeds) i really enjoyed the journey.

edit, forgot to mention but yeah look out for the police on willingham route, theres just been a write up of the bikers caught along the A631 and there were several caught above 100, one at 130 and some in the 90's.
