Erm.
I just change up when it doesn't seem to be getting much faster.
On low power bikes, I think changing up at high RPM is quite important as otherwise it doesn't really carry over to the next gear.
I've shifted up early and my 50 just kind of dies and doesn't accelerate  |

Run the bike in first. Believe it's 600 miles.
And do you honestly plan on keeping the 125?
If you don't then do what you like
Keep the gearbox oil topped up  |
