I'm sure this question has been asked several times before but can anyone recommend a decent looking used bike for around £500.
Been seriously thinking about getting a skyjet, yeah I know there a piece of shit but I figure they will be ok to get to and from work, I don't intend to thrash the bollox out of it and any long journey I need to make I will make in the car.
I'm just looking for a cheap run about to see weather I enjoy riding before I splash out for DAS and a Decent bike. I really like the Honda NRS 125 but there around double I wanna pay
I don't mind how old the bike is just as it looks nice i hate the idea of driving about on a club 90 |

I would never recommend a specific bike for a learner... so much depends on your height, weight build etc My wifes EN125 is great for her, but too small (as are most 125's) for me, try Ebay for bikes near you within your price range, local bike shops etc,,,,That way you can try one that you like the look of. Have you passed your CBT? If not then book one, and see whether you like it or not, that way you dont waste too much money. and you could possibly go straight to a big bike. |

You will get a lot of negatives about Skyjet and other chinese bikes on here, however all I would say is that appreciate what your buying, spend more time checking over on a more regular basis for problems and it will last longer than they usually do.
For what your going to use it for, just fine ____________________ Current - 2007 Suzuki Bandit GSF1250 - 1999 Suzuki TL1000R

CG125
great learner bikes
will take serious abuse to kill one
~100mpg
60mph top speed
As JC would say "more reliable than a wood burning stove"
IMO dont go chinese, if you buy the CG you will prob get the 500 quid back in a few months if you decide to sell
chinese bikes lose value quick ____________________ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Search Chinese bikes on the forums and see what happened.
Quick example, Matt on here had a Lifan where the frame snapped in two. ____________________ Don't practice it until you get it right, practice it until you don't get it wrong.
