Could be useful for keeping one warm as winters coming. I wonder how warm it would get. Maybe one of you lot could buy one and give feedback on the rest of us. Prob would be cheaper then spending tons on a heated leather jacket or what not.

mmm i suppose. it said if used constantly on it only lasts 50minutes or so. Would be major suckage if it wasn't warm.
Has no1 invented a hot water bottle type jacket? I would have thought someone would have given it a go.

I use Little Hotties tucked inside my clothes or socks sometimes, they help a lot.

I know the voltage would be out

6 X 1.5V (AA battery) = 8V

but maybe on a timer so on for 5 off for 10 mins say

assuming you can get past voltage problem.....

Are those them little plastic sealed pouches which as a tiny area u press, and the gel inside it changes, and gets hot. Then to reverse it, you put it under boiling water?

Nope, they look and feel like a giant teabag!

They start to get warm as soon as they come out of the plastic wrapper, and once you're done with them you just chuck them away.

Also useful for camping, a couple in the sleeping bag will help keep you toasty all night.

I mainly ride at night/early mainly between 10:30pm - 7:30am, most lot must be pussies Laughing

I currently ride with a winter jacket with the lining removed and a T-Shirt + textile bottoms. Thats fine for me, you lot need to man the fuck up Laughing

This comes up virtually every year this will not work! ,, it is designed to be put on for 2 -3 minutes to warm up then turned off.... to make it work for a bike you will need to wire it into your battery..

As even if you do warm it up and turn it off it will be utterly no match for the wind chill of the erm wind...

I bet when you come in from a long enough ride (for them to have worn off) you forget where they all are lol.

Oh and yeh I agree, unless its more thne about 10 miles you really should be able to get away with jeans and jacket for 99% of rides anyway.

That said, I wish I had something to warm me back up 'emergency stylee' when I rode down to east sussex wearing summer gloves and leathers... in the snow.

TBH I only tend to use them if I know I'm going to be out and going fairly briskly for more than about an hour.

But Bonny yeah, I have had them in my textile jacket (they slip into the armour pockets quite nicely) and then found "used" ones several months later whan I've gone to put a new one in Embarassed

We got a box of 80 at least 2 years ago, and between the 2 of us we've used less than half of them so far.
