Just done a last minute booking for Rockingham this Sat, weathers not looking too bad and the track isn't too far away so thought 'why not!'.
Anyone else here on it?

Well, had a fairly good day, the weather was pretty much perfect through out the whole day. Sun and clear sky, around 20 deg's.
Apart from the fact there were alot of people out riding that thought they were alot better than they actually were, there were crashes in every session in the morning, sometimes two per session which was really pissing everyone off.
I also saw some of the worst riding I've ever seen on a track day, and this is from the supposedly more experienced intermediate group. Riders braking all over the place, no idea what a racing line is etc... I say the majority of the riders should still have been in the novice group, as their riding was just terrible, and down right dangerous!
Once I'd used the first two session to get familiar with the track, I was off, catching and passing with ease!
Then we get to the second from last session in the afternoon, 5 laps into the session and I close up on a couple of riders as we go through the final chicane before the start / finish straight. I hold them down the straight, close right up on the brakes but not quite close enough to get past the two of them into the first little left right flick so decide to follow them through and pass them on the exit as thats where I'm alot quicker than most riders in the group.
Well, that was the plan anyway, until some fu**ing twat came ploughing into the back of me, just as I was about to tip it into the corner! Lucky for me it just made me wobble slightly and I still made the corner, looked over my shoulder to see idiot boy sliding along on his arse with his bike following him! You sir, are a f**king prat! You put a tiny scratch and tyre mark on my exhaust! And I'm f**king glad you smashed your's to bits! Maybe now you'll not try and be some hero and think your second name is Rossi!
I left my braking quite late so I could close in on the riders in front, but how you thought you'd make the corner at the speed you hit me is just unbelieveable!? Unless you were one of these idiots that looks as his speedo and completely missed your braking point, I have no idea?!
I was amazed (and shocked) when speaking to one of the guys in our garage that he had only passed his bike test last week, brought a track bike (GSXR600 racer - total loss etc..) and decided to do a track day! Fu**ing glad I wasn't in your group pal!!
There were even a couple of incidents where the riders had left the pit lane, then binned it on the second corner FFS!!! What on earth are you thinking!?
Was quite a good day overall though, we managed to get through 1 session all day without a red flag which was nice. It's just a shame there are so many people out there that think they are alot faster than they really are!
Anyway, couple of pics from the day.... ____________________ ZXR750R (M2) - For the road.

Looking good Mr Baz.
I've found that at Rockingham the ability tends to be generally lower than at other circuits. I tend to be middle advanced there as oppose to lower/middle advanced that I seem to be everywhere else.
Gutted someone ploughed into you, but at least karma bit back. ____________________ My Flickr |

Yeah, when he hit me I first thought that I'd locked the rear some how as it sort of jumped! No damage what so ever to my bike, but he left loads of oil on the track, and you can see from where that is that he would never have made the corner!
There were a few corners that lines differed massively between riders.
One of my mates friends that was there on a Duk ST got side-swiped by some prat on a GSXR who again completey missed his braking! Just as he was turning in to the corner, idiot boy ploughed into the front of him, completely taking him out!
Would seem that no one liked Ducati's that day!!! ____________________ ZXR750R (M2) - For the road.

Hello,
I have used a great free internet connection from
www.gonuts4free.com which works in Spain and the
United Kingdom. It is free of charge, fast,
secure and very stable. Just by using my normal
ordinary modem i managed to install it fast and
easily. Great service, no fees and no extra
charges. A very happy client! They also provide
support in English and Spanish! Thank you. Free
Internet Service Provider.

Who ran the track day may I ask? If they are letting people be on a track day after just passing their test I'd be slightly worried.
And I'd be worried about their authority over the riders if they are letting people ride that erratically were there no flags or anything to say that they are being watched for idiocy?
Anyway, sounds like you had a good day apart form that and you got some nice pics ____________________ Other nations, the French, looked at a dining table and saw an opportunity to have dinner. We looked at a dining table and saw an opportunity to play wiff waff! - Boris Johnson |

It was with No Limits. It's the first time I've been with them, and I was a little put off by the days 'activities' enough for me not want to book with them again.
To be fair to them, they did make a point of telling the inter group as we queued in pit lane, to take it slow, and he didn't want any more crashes. Then some dumb arse rode straight out of the pits and crashed on the second corner!
