What happens if you connect it to the wheel and put a little bit of pressure on the speedo end and move the bike? Happens to a mates whereby the spline-type-thing on the wheel was damaged so it'd turn when there was no pressure on it but slip when there was.

Had to get new hub internals in the end

Hi

Double check that it is seated correctly at both ends. Often quite easy to not seat the cable properly (especially behind the speedo itself) and have them not work.

All the best

Hi

Might be worth checking it is the right cable then. Not sure but it wouldn't surprise me if they used different cables (probably with different length inner cables) when they changed the style of the clocks (and I can think of 3 different types of clocks on the RS).

All the best

Keith
