not neccesarily. check them and if they are ok then you need to use coppaslip on the BACK of the pads to stop the pad squeaking.
(pad squeaks because it is vibrating against the piston/caliper... metal to metal)

I only notice it when I'm going slow. Anyway, I've got some trime off this week so I shall investigate and post for further help during the weeek.
