Check you haven't left any pipes of the carb, or the vacuum tap or connected any pipes the wrong way around.

Is it turning over as it should (not to hard on the kicker or to slow on the starter)?

where did you get the engine from?

If its from a breakers i would take it back and get it exchanged, most breakers will swap engines if they are faulty.

What was wrong with your origional engine?

Do you know if he put any oil down the barrel whilst it was stood?

Some people do to stop things rusting up internaly, the problem is when you come to run the engine again it can take a while to burn the excess oil off.

did you refit your origional carb or did the engine come with one on?

If you used the carb that came with the engine it might want cleaning out because any petrol that was left in it would have dried out and probably blocked something internaly, or you could fit your own carb of the old motor.

hi ive managed to get it sorted think cable was trapped somewhere .. but now when i put full throttle on it revs up to around 7000-8000 revs but thier doesnt seem to be much pulling power could it be advisable to put some carb cleaner through or something like that if so what and how much, also if not what could be causeing the lack of power to go..

thanks bullz712
