I have got some really nice indicators that i orded of the internet and made some really nice brackets for them at work.
when i mount them they are going to alot closer together than tey originaly where, does this matter ?.

Is there any sort of ligallity on the distance apart they are from each other ?

Well i believe you can get E marked intergrated rear indi's and rear light...and they are basically next to each other.

So no, i don't think there is a legal distance they have to be Razz

E mark applies to the bulbs and lenses. Yes there is a minimum distance outlined in construction and use regs. Possibly find what they are from the SVA test.

But no minimum distance is needed for the MOT, the indicators need to be on either side of the bike though.

I have been after an integrated tail light for some time now, the best answer to date is ......

Either side of the centre line,

However, until I get an MoT Station to confirm this for me, I am not spending out on the integ unit.

In short ask your local MoT'er

If you're so unsure why don't you ask the mot'er yourself ?
I've yet to hear of anyone on any forum who has one to be refused an MOT. As I said anyway it is not part of the mot check, just that they work.
I have also to hear of anyone getting grief from the plod because of them. As posted above they may be against the statuatory requirements but you be very very unlucky for a random plod to know these.

Yes I will, I have spoken to a few mechanics and custom bike builders, none of them can SEE a roblem, however, as yet I haven't been able to speak to my local MoT guy - very difficult to get hold of on the phone.
