 |

Hi, im riding my yzfr125 atm, and thinking about DAS and buying a supersport. I checked all the forums and find that everybody is saying the riding postion on 600cc supersports its extreme ( i dont know what they are comparing it to, harley or something) so i want to ask is there any big difference between riding postion on yzfr125 and gsx-r600 etc etc, and i also heard that gsxr-600 is most comfy from 600supersports, is that true?
Thank you guys you are the beeeeeest!!!!!!! ____________________ <<<PIGGER)) >>>

"comfy" would depend on your shape and size, and is a personal thing. Only way to find out is sit on them all, and get on some test rides. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

Comfort depends what year you are looking at, although it differs from person to person.
And a sports 600 will be less cramped than your R125. ____________________ Don't practice it until you get it right, practice it until you don't get it wrong.

the 6r has the most room as its a slightly bigger bike all round, although no heavier (since 2004 models) the later r6 is the most race focussed position and motor. the gsxr sits between them as the honda does.
as shaggy says though. theres nothing like a test, even sitting on a few in a welcomed shop ____________________ ZX636C6F road. ZX636C1H track. ZX7R redundant. ZX0.5R minimoto as ornament.

Have you seen an R125?
When I saw one it still looked a fair bit smaller, if not just because it was thinner, all goes towards making it more cramped ____________________ Don't practice it until you get it right, practice it until you don't get it wrong.

I always thought that r6 is the sportiest with zx-6 and "bit of a lean back" are gsxr-6 and honda, and they are more road use friendly, i like zx-6 but when i checked forums it seemed like it s not ideal road bike well im confused now |
This is VERY generaly speaking but the ZX6's tend to like to be revved a bit more to get them going, hence them supposedly not being an ideal road bike, again at the other end of the scale the CBR is supposed to be the easiest to ride on the road, requireing the least effort, this is based on what experts have said, not personal experience and i very much doubt whether you or i would notice anything performance wise on the road, especialy in your case when coming strait off of a 125, Id imagine your thoughts when jumping on to any modern sports 600 would be something like:
"FUCK THIS IS FAST!
followed by
FUCK ME THESE BRAKES ARE GOOD."
Rather than:
"While I do prefer the torque curve on the CBR600 to that of the ZX6 and R6, the GSXR600 seems to go one better and strike the perfect balance between the four"
Basicly what i mean is dont worry about the performance too much as to start with you wont have the skills to use the bikes to anywhere near there potential, if you do want to go for a sports 600 have a look at what you can afford and work from there.

My bike has a fairly fat tank and iv sat on a YZF125 (When nobody was looking) at a police gala only major difference is the width of the tank and weight ____________________ Current: Gsxr 600 Srad - GS125 - DT125

so true.
as said above a first sports 6 you wont care what it is, as long as its a sports 6. when you come to buy a second sports 6 then you might want to take into account the slight performance difference.
riding position, personally i couldnt care less, theyre not particulalrly uncomfortable, you can ride it with no problems... you just get aches everywhere after a long ride is all. its not something i gave a second of thought to when i bought my ducati which has got to be the most uncomfortable bike ever made. |
I do not worry about performance, i will shit my self on any of them im sure about that, what i am after is as much confort as possible but i dont like tourers kind of bikes, well vfr800 looks cool but to big for start and i was thinking about 6-f or 6-n one with full fairing, or new gsx f 650 but still im nout sure about look, love the look of orange ninjas 2004etc, i have to go to the shop, sit on each one of them and than decide, thanks for your advice mayby i will endup with 2001,2002 ninja and after that will go for newer model, i dont want to fall and lose all hard earn money ____________________ <<<PIGGER)) >>>
