Well it didn't take long for the bike to get sick again. Bid end bearings this time.

I found another crankshaft on ebay complete with conrod and big end. So I'm in the process of stripping my engine to replace the crankshaft.

I've come unstuck on the flywheel though. The manual suggests using a specific flywheel puller, which I don't have.

Does anybody know of anywhere that would sell such a tool?

If it's got a threaded hole in the middle, try using your rear axle. That's worked on a few bikes I've had to remove them from.

If the flywheel is sitting on a tapered shaft and has a threaded hole in the centre then a flywheel puller screws into the hole and when it touches the end of the tapered shaft, you carry on turning it (it gets harder) and it forces the flywheel off of the shaft.

It sometimes occurs that the thread on the rear axle is the same thread on the flywheel. I've used the rear axle a couple of times (on a Yam XT125, is the only one I can definitely remember) and it's worked.

i got a draper 3 arm puller to get my one off the shaft. Think it cost me a fiver from local car shop. The only thing though is i had to reprofile the arms to fit in the holes in the fly wheel. I have not took it off yet as i don't want to freeze my ****** off in the garage at the minute Razz
