 |
|
Hi all,
There is a new law inforced today where as if you speed by over 20mph over the limit...you will face a 6 points on your licence and more than likley a ban
For example:
20mph zone and your doing 42mph = 6 points(possibly a ban)
I do belive this is aimed more at motorcycleists more than car drivers.
Allthough they say its to stop people under the influance of drugs driving.
Anyway a warning to you all!

Hi
Personal feeling is that they should get rid of the fixed penalty system. All speeding tickets would then need to go to court with the police as witnesses (so no speed cameras either). This would limit the amount of tickets, so should mean only those worthwhile are pursued.
Alternative would be to still allow automated ticketing but only at a level at which it cannot be safe to travel. So probably at least double the current speed limits. Maybe call it a seperate offence (Furious Speeding?), and at such a level there would be no exemption for anyone.
Anything law which the majority of the population breaks regularly and which every year millions are prosecuted for breaking is a bad law. Almost all of those offences are irrelevant. Save the legal sledge hammer for the small number who actually deserve it.
All the best

In some countries speed cameras are hidden and there is no sign that a speed camera is ahead, imagine that ____________________ Theory Passed: 23/10/2008 49/74 Bike Test Passed: 05/01/2009 1 minor

I was doing 109mph on the M4( i think it is m4 ) to that shopping thing near Bridgent some kind of designer outlet or something and i was doing 115mph(stupid i know) and i saw a car on the top of the bridge, i slowed down pretty quick nearly had an accident (damn) and slowed down to 70 mph but, after 3 moths and after i moved to east england from South Wales, i got a letter that i need to come to court because of speeding ( first letter just ask me to confirm that i was riding bla bla) and i needed to go to court in South Wales in NewPort. Aparently i was caught doing 109 mph limit was 70, so i went to court all the way to newport, and then i got banned for 2 weeks and got a pay a fee £500. What saved me was a really nice letter from my employer and my sad eyes ) I was dressed nicely in a suit and well presented and i took the thing seriously ( i nearly shite my self on the court). I did not have any points before that. So i was lucky. I was speeding since of course im not traveling 70mh on motorway all the time sometimes i go 71+ few+few, but i think to go on the motorway you are alright doing 85-90 mph when traffic is not bad. To do 50 in 30mph zone well i dont remember that i ever done it, that is a bit more dangerous i wount like the idea to live with a thought that i killed some child. Speeding is dangerous, even if the drivers are got i know, but i dont think is possible to be 100 clean from speeding. I dont do the same 100+mph any more secound time i wount be that lucky and i need a car for job, and job to pay the mortage ____________________ <<<PIGGER)) >>>
