I didn't have any problems with my zxr up until now (almost a week now) Sad - it will not start on cold ... starter motor will turn, but theres no ignition. Though it will start after 6-7 attempts, which is not normal, i presume.

After running it for a while (hot) it starts as a charm.

Battery has been replaced 2 weeks ago.

Guys will appreciate any help ,

thanks,

Is the choke lever / cable working ok?

When were the spark plugs last changed?

I'd suggest changing the plugs then Wink

A new plug with correctly adjusted gap will produce a nice fat healthy spark, worn out ones produce a weaker spark... it might make all the difference on a cold start Thumbs Up

Kawasaki's are well known for coldbloodedness on nippy mornings & the fix for the past 30 years has been putting a pilot jet in that actually works instead of the microscopic one they fit for emission tests in some markets. Wink

The problem is that last winter it didn’t show any symptoms alike - yes there was slight barking here and there but choke solved most of that.

So I guess spark plugs are my best bet for the problem in question.

Thanks for your reply guys,

Any more suggestions before I order a new set ? Smile

I agree but much of the other thread was advocating a bigger main jet. That was the bollox I refered to.
