Normally it's a part of the lock set that locks into the head stock, so where you stick your key in will need replacing, or your frame.

That would be the ignition barrel.

How do you lock your steering? Through the ignition or is a seperate key used to lock the steering on the bottom yoke?

as chriss said then... it'll be the ignition barrel or the frame. You'll need to take the ignition out to inspect the hardened pin that gets projected into the frame when the key is turned to lock the steering. Hopefully it'll just have a bent/snapped pin, then it's a new ignition. If not the hole in the frame may be dissfigured.

If you're lucky, and you have all the silly pieces of plastic that come with the lock, you may be able to get an identical replacement barrel which uses the same key.

When my RS got stolen, they obviously broke steering lock, it literally just pushed the frame "smooth" to get it out so when I got it back, to have a working steering lock I would of had to replace the frame.
