ok, new bearing came for my sprocket carrier today. cbr 125 04.

I fit it and replace chain etc and go along and it make a weird grinding noise. I can't tell if it is the sprocket carrier or chain hitting something or anything else.

does someone have a picture of how one of these should be put together. I want to make sure I have done it right. Thanks

Order of items on the bike from the middle going to left hand side if you know what I mean.

wheel - wheel bearing - small spacer - sprocket carrier - sprocket carrier bearing - rubber seal on top of bearing - big spacer - swingarm.

Thanks

get it up on a stand/paddock stand, its the only way to check it.
remove the chain and eliminate that first.
are you sure the chain is not too tight?

hi, chain is set perfectly to specs.

I found an exploded diagram

https://www.mmra.org.uk/marci/cbr125/cbrtech/pages/f13rearwheel.htm

just no list to go with it.

im guessing here

23 = wheel bearing
10 = seal
1= cush drive rubbers
4=?
7= sprocket carrier
22= bearing
20?
5= spacer
18= washer
3= axel

what the hell is 4 and 20.
I have something that looks like 4 but has no ridges, it is just a cylinder with a hole in the middle. currently being used as a spacer on the outside.

help! ta

ok turns out i had the wrong diagram. some parts that just dont exist are on there.

but

i sorted the problem! I didn't realise there were 2 spacers on the brake side meaning it was making a different grinding noise to the one before! I had put the spare spacer in a gap that doesnt need it!

Doh!

Ah well, sorted now with only minor scratching to the big plate that holds the calliper.
