1999 MITO cant find neutral?

hi all,


i have a cagiva mito and it just cant seem to find neutral(AT ALL)!


it used to be hard finding it...but now there is no neutral



i know there is a star shape gear selector on 4-stroker(well on my old 140 thumper there was)? maby this is to rounded and worn? ive seen people take it out and "dremel it out" pointyer them-selfes?

if so is this start on the left or right of the engine caseing?

A mito's a two stroke, and most modern "proper" bikes use selector forks to select the gears.

Checked your chain tension/ lubed it recently?

It's not a selector fork problem if you can't get neutral if all the other gears select fine.

sometimes you have to buy them seperately.
tried ebay?

(tighten your clutch cable, can you find it in neutral?)

ive just checked and its more along the lines of 3cm...so i should be okay

and no when i mov ethe bike along it still dosent want to go in to netural....

the neural llight does come on but it just slips out of it and turns off...


and it comes on between 1st and neutral gear?

Its a 9 year old 125 2 stroke supersports bike. Its clearly been owned by a 17 year old teenager who knows bugger all about bikes. They all have. And its probably been spanked everywhere since the day it was built.

Is the clutch adjusted correctly? Dragging clutches can give a lot of neutral problems.

they are a pain to get into netural at the best of times i just click mine in as i am slowing down.

once your at a standstill you will struggle lol.

oh change your gear oil 15w 50 0.8L from empty.

as for it not warming up mito's have a stupidly large radiator as there designed for hotter climates.

most owners gaffertape between 1/2 - 2/3rds up during the colder months because you will not get it up too temp otherwise.

mines taped up 2/3rds at the moment it now sits at 60 degrees which is about right for mito's.

is that okay or do i need the 15w 50?
