With the sudden realisation that if we leave for the land down under in 6 weeks or thereabouts I should get my finger out and sell the 7. I didn't believe that as soon as I put the ad on eBay a buyer would pay the BIN price just minutes later, but thats what happened.

Yes I sold the bike cheaper than what it should have gone for but being winter, the crunch and the need to sell, I can forgive a few £ for the peace of mind.

I stated in the description here that the bike is filthy, that it is and then some. Should I try and clean the bike before its collected at the weekend as its freezing out there! It is going to a Kwak dealer of all places by the looks of it so I'm sure that they won't mind getting a little dirty in the process.

Last rides and all that, good idea or just wrap up in cotton wool till collected to prevent the unmentionable happening?

What have the BCF massiv done when waiting for the buyer to arrive?

dont ride it you may bin it and its not worth it.
just remember the rides you had on sunny days.

I'd leave it, you've stated it's dirty, why bother? It's time you could be spending, enjoying your last few weeks in England.

A lot of bike for £800 though.

Initially thinking of round the £1000 mark or just over. Its good but a Cat C so always going to be beaten down no matter what unless I 'forget' to mention it.

Oh well here comes the snow and wind and I'm forced into the wifes Ka with a stereo and heater on full. Never mind eh?

If its not too brass monkey I may splash a little degreaser here and there and maybe a liberal coat of some muck off but yes, I may just be tempted to leave the bike well alone.

I dont know much about ZX7rs but that seems a really cheap price!!

When ive come to sell i usually clean before taking the photos and then jsut cover it, though when i have sold bikes im not usually using them so stay clean.

I sold a moped and put it in £100-150 lower than i should on biketrader and got about 10-15 calls a day as it was summer, was far more than i expected!

Was just about to put an ad on here and then checked my emails. Laughing

And yes, I suspect that the asking price may be a tad higher.

Its been bought by a dealer for a stupidly low price.

Don't wash it. Take all the aftermarket stuff off of it.

Let him take it as is. If he turns out to be a timewaster then sell it to someone who will care for it. Plenty of people have commented that they will take it for more money than it sold for.

And look forward to leaving the scumhole that is the UK! Very Happy

(or should I say... Skvmhole?? Laughing )

Exactly what I thought. Bargain of the year for someone me thinks! I think now would be a good time to tell the buyer that it blew up when you changed the oil to two stroke oil the other day.

It took me a similar amount of time to find a buyer for my bike, I just PM'd someone on here who was looking for an NSR and that was that!

I hope its been ok to you btw Very Happy Thumbs Up

But its nice to know eBay works! I never really thought it did as I see the same bikes on there for weeks at a time.

I find it amazing to think I spent £1500 on an NSR125 when I could have bought that beast for £800 and just stared at it until I take my A2.

Decided not to ride it today as icy and god damn cold, can't be arsed to clean it either. Laughing
