Got mine today, I'd recommend it. Sure, for that price, you can't expect a racing safe protector, but if you're a day to day rider, and a little dubious about wearing a protector (I'm only going to put mine on occassionally) you can't go wrong for 15 squid.

What's the point in "occasionally" wearing a back protector? Fair enough if you mean every time you go on a track.

I got given a free Forcefield Back Protector but only seems to fit well under a one-piece suit.

Bought one about 4 years ago for £15 from the NEC

Having crashed and heard the slap as it hit the ground, I can't fault it.

Best £15 i've ever spent.

I bought one from Lidl. It's a little bit of a faff to get on and off, but once it's one it's pretty comfy. It's CE approved so I don't see why it won't protect me adequately unless I'm on the track, in which case i'd invest in something more expensive.

Its actually higher rated than some of the more expensive ones. theres type 1 and type 2 in the CE approvial thing and the b-square one is the higher of the two. When i flipped a wheelie i was wearing it and it smashed down on the floor pretty hard - im glad it wasnt my spine thats for sure. Dont ride without it now.
