Inspired by gr82bthe1st's thread, I thought I would see what everyone's dream jobs would be and why...

I would be a footballer, and not for the obvious reasons(most young lads dream of it) but because I could, and maybe should have been a pro at some point in my life. Oh well, life goes on.

Anything which will get me loads of money and sex and I enjoy doing. And not being a pornstar. Any jobs like that around?

Male escort.
My work mates are trying to talk me into doing it for some reason.

Always wanted to own and run a small cafe/restaurant in France, somewhere near Paris but not to near the centre, with big feature windows with a little sidewalk outside where I can place the extra few tables under the awning, must come with an upstairs appartment that also has to have big feature windows, with a balcony surounded with wrought iron ballastrade and a courtyard out the back for the car and bike...

Kind of like the decent paintings/prints you see of a scene outside the cafe, or from inside looking out, you know what I mean...

Failing that, as I read alot, a rare and hard to find books, book shop, again full ownership though...

Not that I've thought about it, alot, honest, really... Thumbs Up

Claudio von Planta (the camera man from the Long Way Round) had the best job IMO. I'm really wanting to spend years exploring Europe and Asia on a bike (albiet on my own), but he actually got paid for doing it. Absolute dream job.

Failing that, car journalism would be a more realistic goal.

Like working on Top Gear, how wicked would that be?

Remember, your dream job does not have to be realistic.

My dream job as a child was to be a Vet.

I guess I'd still love to do it, shame I'm not smart enough for that though. Thumbs Down

Exactly!

Some people like their job as it gives them the satisfaction of knowing they've made a difference to somebody else.

Bollocks to that! I want to get paid a reported £600000 a year to thrash the pants off the latest Italian exotica. Laughing

I suspect I'd be quite good at it too!

Yellowninja, that's my goal too. I'm doing a masters degree in journalism at the mo with the aim of getting into motoring journalism, but if I ever got "the break" and got into TV doing something like Top Gear, I'd have to say that'd be pretty much perfect.

Really, I'd like any job that earns a decent wage and that I'd enjoy. A realistic target for me as far as car journalism goes would be to work on a mag like Autocar.

Rock star Thumbs Up
As a teenager i played in a few bands and we were convinced we were gonna make it big someday Laughing
Although we played pretty much all over the uk and europe, it never quite happened...

So if i cant be a mega rich rock star, i guess i'd like a job where i can spend my time in a nice warm workshop building custom bikes - but not way over the top occ type bikes, i much prefer more tasteful ones Laughing Thumbs Up

I'd like to run a recording studio that has a workshop, a greasy spoon, an arcade and a cross between Maplins and Millets. And an internet cafe.

I may even open the doors to the public on some days.
