Nice, a neighbour had a black S a few years back, the sound of the thing starting up on a Sunday morning was almost worth the hangover it induced after a Saturday night's drinking. Much prefer them to the platypus R model.

Ace bike mike... I loved em because they sounded stupidly loud when i was following a bloke from the uni.

Has it got the aftermarket rear damper/shock assembly? Hagon do a good replacement. I heard them bikes are sensitive to chain tension?

Make sure you check the chain slack with soomeone of your weight sitting on the bike.

I've heard that a lot of the tankslappers that bike has a reputation for were caused by the chain being too tight. Its got a classic Suzuki swingarm which changes shape when you tighten the rear wheel spindle and it tightens up the chain. Apparently when riding on bumpy roads the rotary rear damper gets hot and loses compression damping. When the chain is tight the pumpdown you get on the rear shock is stopped by the chain going completely taut meaning you're effectively riding with no rear suspension.

Still, I've heard that as long as you keep the chain slack set correctly, and you take it easy they are great bikes. The last bike to have a proper hard core reputation! Smile

ahhh gotta love the TL's! i had an 'R for a bit this year, had some good fun on it and it sounded louder than satan having an orgasm! Was just a little tooo heavy for me. (wuss).
