sounds like either your ignition or key are really worn and in need of replacement, but try putting the key in and tilting it back slightly as you turn, might save a bit of time in the mornings! ____________________ motorcycle clothing online at www.ukbikegear.com... we're here to serve! |

On my YBR a squirt of WD40 in the barrel helps with this sort of issue. Not sure how well it would work on other bikes. ____________________ CBT February 2008 | A2 June 2008 | Yamaha YBR125 (written off) | Honda CBF125 (current) |

My Firestorm does this every few months. I squirt a bit of brake cleaner into the barrel first then I spray some good old WD40 when it's dried out. The brake cleaner gets rid of any filth and the WD lubes the tumblers.
Put the key in and work it all around for a bit until the motion is smooth. ____________________ Current bike: VTR1000F Firestorm. Previous: Firestorm (written off) - XJ600 Divvy - NSR125 - DT125 and a load of offroaders. |
