Were you there?

Looking at the site they have changed the track layout since we went.

Wow, yes actually.

I tried emailing last week but nobody got back to me and i kinda forgot.

Prehaps you can give me some rough prices?

Me and a few mates want to go, use their bikes with our kit. How much each do you reckon?

Ok, not wanting to give duff info - I gave them a ring.

Its only on a Friday now 18:00-22:00 and £20 for owner rider (me) - if you want to hire a bike it is £10 for first 10 min session, then £8 from then on.

10 min = £10
20 min = £18
30 min = £26
etc etc.

To be honest that is pretty good VFM to turn up and abuse their bikes, use their tyres and fuel etc ... the hire bikes are actually f-quick too!! Cool

so bascially you have a possible 4hrs there ... if you booked 4 sessions (average 1 per hr - you will be in so many odd shapes, you will need plenty of leg recovery time believe me Wink) that is £34 for the evening ... bearing in mind I have to pay for my fuel and 2-stroke +wear and tear (clutches/tyres etc) it cost me MORE than that for an evening there!! Wink ... but I prolly ride ofr ~2hrs in total ... much of the remaining time I am either bending my legs back into shape/recovering or fixing my ruddy bike!!! Mr. Green

It was a good day out, but G was almost wiped out by the organisation and logistics of it all.

Especially as he had a job interview on the following Monday.

Still, I would be up for doing it again at some point, but we just need someone to 'volunteer' to organise it! Laughing

Well chaps me and some mates are going up for the GP on Sunday.

It's £30, you have practise, qualifying, heats, semis, finals.

There's (I think) 6 of us going so far. Will book up for the rest of you too if you put your name down. I think it starts at 7 but will confirm. (finished at ~10 i would imagine).

You could lie down in the back of my van if you wanted to get there :p

Ok, sounds like we have some interest Smile

Just so everyone is clear, there are two distinct ways Hully run minimotos.

You have arrive and drive (ride) be it on your own bike or hire bike, or a GP, they are run on completely different nights.

The GP is fun, but it is all done on hire bikes and needs arranging/booking. The arrive and drive is just that, so needs no prior booking/arranging, so we just name a night and who shows, shows, it makes no odds organisation wise as you don't need to book (perhaps a quick check they have a few hire bikes available).

As I said the GP is fun ... but if you are like me and take competition far too seriously, then you can end up getting overly aggressive ... like I did when I did a GP ... it was basically the final and I was chasing the win ... some lass got in the way, so I 'leant' on her and she panicked ... resulting in her coming off ... at the fastest corner of the track Embarassed ... my-bad!! Neutral With her 'staying down' and making a meal of it like a footballer, it turned a fun evening into a bit of a mare ...

So in short, personally I am game for an arrive and drive (especially as I have my own bike) but would probably not be as keen on a GP.

Anyway, that is the score with arrive and drive and the GP, so it's up to you guys really.

Best give them a ring ... but a few times I have turned up for minimoto and the karts have still been going round Wink

I've actually got a couple of Karts too (yep, I love my toys!! Embarassed ) ... but they are 2-stroke racing karts and outdoors only (they do about 70-80mph depending on gearing). So, personally I am not interested in doing the indoor crappy 4-stroke ones!! Wink Indoor karting is fun mind and the ones at hully are good karts! Smile

Karts were fun but I prefered mini motos. I would have to hrie one as I dno't have a mini moto and I doubt I could take one on the back of the NC30!

But definately sounds fun. What sort of date you aming for though? I highly doubt I can do before Christmas...

I'd love to do this, but this particular venue is too far away.

Some general questions though, do you wear your own leathers that you would use on a full size bike? Knee sliders a must I assume? (I have them, but they've not touched the ground yet!). What about helmet? Your own again? Is it hard? Laughing

I used my own leather jacket helmet and gloves. Wore trainers, and jeans. They have their own knee sliders which you can wrap around. Well this place did anyways.

It's hard to get used to it. For the first couple of minutes anyways. Then I was pushing it (well compared to most)
