Can you say 'indicated' and 'downgeared'? That definitely doesn't look like 220mph, it doesn't even look like what an indicated 220mph would look like.

When you downgear a modern bike it means that the speedo over reads a fair bit. Judging by the speed the speedo whizzed around the dial later on as well it would suggest that it wasn't getting that fast.

that vids so fake, the bike goes faster than 220mph, as the spedo hits the end stop, and the revs keep on going also.

just before the end of the movie theres a junction on the right side, at over 220mph, that would flash by soo fast, but it doesnt.

i would estimate that bike was doing no more than 130-150mph

doesn't look fast does it

I may be wrong but that could be SuperKhaos's turbo busa - there's no boost gauge in the shot but look/listen to how it takes off in first once the rpms are up and it's on boost, and I may be kidding myself, it may be wind noise but there is a whistle and the front wheel doesn't come down until 4th gear - under hard acceleration, that's not a balanced wheelie, that's power - more power than a stock busa makes

if it is a turbo then 220 mph is easily within it's grasp - although unless there's a yellow box fitted then that ole Suzuki speedo is gonna be 20-30mph out at that speed

still, you gotta love 200mph

on the public highway Shocked

confirmed from elsewhere, so the bike is not geared for top speed - no doubt it COULD do over 200 - just apparently wasn't in that clip Wink

yep, thats superkaoss with his rather short gearing, from about 2 years ago??

he has a 180 speedo, with 220 clock faces and I think it was 16/43 gearing if my memory serves me correctly. so in fact at redline he was really only doing about 165 ish....

still a good video though

Busas turbo boost gauge is either to the bottom right of the clocks, or just right of the tank in the fairing pointing upwards.

I don't think any Turbo's come fitted with Dumpvalves, there just an extra, only really for noise difference.

turbos do use dumpvavles, turbos build up the pressure inside the engine, the dump valve lets that pressure out when you push the clutch in so the engine doesnt blow sky high.

dont know about bikes tho Question

i know some cars dont use them because the back pressure going back when the throttle is released can cause the turbo to stall...os stutter etc

All turbo applications must have a dump valve. You get the recirculating dump valves, generally make no noise. Or the bad aftermarket ones which vent the excess boost straight to the atmosphere. Laughing

Susuki make a turbo Busa from the factory right??? It could well be turbo in that case. It seems quite smooth, ie no lag. If it was stock turbo bike, than it wouldnt have a dump valve that "sounded".

I have another vid with a turbod busa, but this one is completely aftermarket. Its certainly more erratic when its on boost, but also devastatingly fast.

numpties the lot of you - obviously it was short geared! - look at the way it apparently accelerated from 150-220mph . . . nothing short of 600bhp or a solid fuel rocket attached to each side would've given that sort of performance Laughing Thumbs Up

Yup all turbos have a blow off valve Laughing to release the built up pressure, i take it this is the same as dump valve.
