just been in the bridges shopping centre and they have a stall with an OCC bike, got a pic which i'll upload later.

i presume its today only so if you want to see it be quick

Are they going to be unveiling a Shopping Centre inspired chopper?

It was worth a watch, not too hard to stare at the screen and pass an hour here and there. But theme bikes? Not even that good and absolutely jank at making a custom chopper compared to other builders.

Discovery Channel has made them a lot of $ very quickly.

I think you're right! The roads in the US can't be half as bad as they are over here. And riding a bike with little / no suspension would be a real arse killer!!! Shocked It's bad enough on a bike WITH suspension!!

Plenty of them are a good deal worse including unsurfaced being 'normal' in some areas.

In general these things are all about style and image but they can be and are ridden properly.
Hard tailing bikes is something originally done to improve handling when indulging in more spirited riding - before suspension became more sophisticated.

Quite a few of the theme bikes were fabricated by a shop here in California & then merely assembled by OC Clowns.... There's no doubt they are raking in the $$$$, but the overall impression here in the US is they are a bunch of talentless hacks.

I used to watch the program until I noticed they were wankers, I think what did it for me was when they were moving to new premises and they smashed their old place and everything to fuck, spoilt twats.
They also think us brits are idiots too, yep I was an idiot for watching

I do watch it occasionally, but only so i can laugh at them.
Its get boring watching them build countless 'theme' bikes with tacky chrome and stupid things like rocket launchers and guitars on the back.
I love custom bikes, but only ones done properly...

Yeah, they do seem to churn out the same old shit each time, just using what appear to be off the shelf parts.

From watching 'Biker Build Off' tho, I like the hispanic guy who built 'El Peligroso' I think, and the guy who runs Choppers Inc in Florida, he turns out some nice bikes and appears to like getting his hands dirty.

I do like the choppers tbh, a nice retro one would be fun for sunny weekends when you just want to dawdle about, make some noise and fill it up every 50 miles. Then fix it when you get home.

I watched that, and it was only the office part they demolished (with sofas and cars!). Which would have more than likely been pulled down by the new tennants anyway as it was just an office space made from plaster board.

I find them quite funny and entertaining to watch. But prefer biker build off for some really nice 1 off machines.

OCC have done very well out of their series etc.. and fair play to them. Thumbs Up

They kept the workshop for storage of cars and thats where they had the dyno for the Cobra bike.

What about that Mancunian geezer with the blonde hair? He knocks out some nice bikes. If I was ever to be swayed to the 'grey' side, it would be because of one of his bikes I fear...

Like the minimalist style. Too many choppers are just dripping in chrome tat.

And yeah that OCC bike at the top is shite really, like most of their 'assemblies'. Cutting out a load of snazzy shaped metal on a waterjet then chroming it and slapping it on a bike does not a customer chopper make.
