 |
|
Went over to a poker game in waterloo earlier, parked the bike up on the pavement against the wall, put the disc lock on and went in and played for 3 hours, i came out to find my keys still sitting in the ignition , havent done that one for a while, im quite surprised no one noticed, but then thinking about it how often do you look at the ignition of a bike for keys...
Still, very lucky, that would explain why i lost at poker, used my luck up on this
Oh and furthermore to this pointless post, on the way home from that i came out of a corner very fast and was fast closing on a car, which the closer i got turned out to be a police astra (not traffic thank god), so slammed on and overtook them at something like 45 in a 40 (would have been to suspitious to come hauling ass behind them and then stick behind), anyway i got to the next set of red lights first to pulled alongside and were both laughing at me , so i grinned back and put up a meek hand of apology and they gave me that "we dont give a fuck but traffic would have screwed you there" look. ____________________ [Current Bikes - GSXR-750 K5 & C90-97 ] [Previous Bikes: Runner 125, YBR 125, GS500, Bandit 600, Hornet 600, ZX6R-99, C90-99, R1-99, XT600E-04, GSXR-750 K4, CRF250L '16] |

Traffic Police can typically be seen in T5 Volvo's You can tell traffic because they have white caps, Also nearly every traffic car will have onboard video, I regularly speed by 10mph past astras and the like but even i feel nervous when im fully legal and theres a marked T5 in the inside lane doing 40...
From what i understand even normal coppers dont like traffic, the jobsworth bastards that they are...
If theres alot of cones in the back of a car and more ariels than are needed its probably traffic.
Back to the thread, I have left keys under covers etc but this bike was on the main road, i would guess that at least 400 people walked past it while i was inside... ____________________ [Current Bikes - GSXR-750 K5 & C90-97 ] [Previous Bikes: Runner 125, YBR 125, GS500, Bandit 600, Hornet 600, ZX6R-99, C90-99, R1-99, XT600E-04, GSXR-750 K4, CRF250L '16] |

Back in the days of riding around with mates on 125's we'd often go for a KFC at the local shopping centre. Bikes have their own parking bay which is underground and near the entrance so we'd park there.
Usually halfway through a Zinger tower meal one of us would do the 'seven pocket dance' trying to find our bike key. Usually one of us had left the ignition key in. Doh!
I think it's more of a newbie error. Shame on you Don!

You've used up all your luck mate. If I were you I'd spend the next week in bed! ____________________ "A process which led from the amoeba to man appeared to the philosophers to be obviously a progress...though whether the amoeba would agree with this opinion is not known."
