There are only two in Manchester , one is Williams BMW , which costs a helluva lot of money about £90 a day for a 650, £150 for the big trailies or K1200.

Also a company called Horizons which is in oldham I think which only seems to hire out big sports tourers like VFR800s , which again costs a fortune. For the price of a rental you might as well buy and sell on.

If you want to hire one for 2 months, try shopping around and goinf further afield, even down to London, and hire a CB500 for £40 a day.

but, like he said, buying one might be cheaper.

Mental. Get a bus Taxi Buy a pushbike.

I looked at hiring a bike for hols in OZ.
Fuckin robbers. Robbers.
I could have bought a bike on HP and sold it later and saved money.

If you just need the bike to get around with a bit of freedom I'd recommend just buying one for a couple of months and selling on too. Bike hire is gonna be extortionate.

If this is what you decide to do, check out eBike Insurance. You can get a pay monthly policy and should be able to save a fair bit of money as opposed to taking out a year's policy and getting a partial refund.

Another idea I've just thought of as I was toying with it a couple of years ago is ringing around training schools and see if they will hire you a bike. Not sure if they will, with you wanting it for that amount of time, but might be worth asking if you don't want to go to the hassle of buying and selling.

Nothing in Oldham that I know of, however I found a company called New horizons bike hire in Leigh. I guess thats probably the company you mean.

Your looking at about £95 a day/£395 a week for a VFR800
