Best place to find a part time job?

Hi
I'm after a job, so that I can afford to keep the bike on the road, I'm 16 and currently do 4 days in college. This means I have Friday, saturday, Sunday and evenings after 4 30pm free.
Ideally I'm after some where to work on a Friday, saturday and Sunday, and 5pm till 10pm ish Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday night.
Where is the best place to look ?
Not bothered what it is doing, some one suggested asking supermarkets ?

Retail or food.

Minimum wage and unskilled.

So supermarkets, fast food, bakeries, restaurants, charity shops etc etc.

Make a CV and give it out everywhere.

you may need nplq (national pool lifeguard qualification) or similar, before getting a life guard job though Wink

any form of retail, supermarkets, garden centre etc. or if there is a theme park nearby?

+1 for retail/supermarkets. Although bare in mind that it's extremely hard to get a job in it atm, most shops are letting staff go and closing the doors. Waitrose aren't taking any people on here anymore, we have 2 people running 2 sections on the busiest day of the week....there should be at least 5.

Although you might get lucky and get a space where someone is leaving, just try all shops. Marks and spencer pay VERY good money if there is one near you, most retail shops do work for the evening anyway but your likely to only do 1 or 2 evenings then either all day saturday or sunday.

Be careful about hours though, know your limits.

I was doing around 30 odd hours at college + 6 hours commuting to college + 52 hours a week at a job.

Messed everything up, I know you need money to keep the bike running - but I got stuck in the loop of I needed money to get to college and back and keep the bike maintained, but I was failing at college because I was working too much.

Managed it for 18 months then it all fell apart and I screwed up my A levels.
