Hi all!

Here's a few pics of my latest bike, built last year (around May/June) after many months of accumulating parts. Rolling Eyes
There's probably no more than three parts from the same bike Laughing as in the same registered bike Confused ........
The final build took six weeks from bare frame to MOT!
Although a few parts have been around for a few years, messing with ideas etc.
think i rushed it a bit as my other ride was reversed into Evil or Very Mad
Still has to be painted (worjing on it now) and some other bits & bobs added maybe.
Will have to put a build thread up in show & tell. Wink

Call it a streetfighter, custom, special or whatever, i was happy with the result.............

Hope you likey! Thumbs Up
Cheers! Very Happy

That "meccano" looking object is the standard caliper torque arm.
Suppose the holes are for weight saving Rolling Eyes
Might look better if i turn it round as holes are in one side.

Black with white wheels, thats an idea i havent thought of,
maybe at a later date Thinking

Just painting the tail black with some orange striping to blend in more.
Ive always kinda liked the orange wheel Shifty

Cheers

Looks good so far. Cant wait to see it painted.

Go for the black and orange Twisted Evil Thumbs Up . Always loved the mix of those 2 colors on a bike.

They look like the standard ones either way.

And I would neither call it a streetfighter, custom or a special, it's a YZF750 with no fairings and non matching tank and tail. Wink

The forks are from a yzf750sp, so arent standard for that bike.
They have been anodised gold and ohlins springs fitted.
So kinda ohlins fakes!! Laughing Shocked
Slight mod needed to fit the bluespot calipers, (R1 etc plus many others)
Brembo brake discs (ducati etc)
R1 clip-ons (see i havent just fitted renthals and said "theres my fighter")
There's quite a lot of parts on it that arent on a standard YZF.

I knew i shouldnt have said streetfighter! Rolling Eyes
I know it's a long standing debate Wink

In my eyes it is a streetfighter.

As in the definition.
A sportsbike built to your design, with unnecessary parts removed, upgraded or modified,
and other parts fitted to increase/alter performance, handling and looks (depends on opinion)

Anyway, it is ongoing and no doubt will change in time,
the tail swap i planned to fit was put on hold due to time and money.
For now i just wanna paint it and carry on using it, maybe fit the dynojet kit i have soon.

Cheers

Well I don't really care what you call it, I reckon it looks pretty nice. With a consistent paint job it would be even better.

I vote all black paint, and two orange wheels!

Ooh, and maybe a slight stubby job on the can.
will be a nice cafe racer, I rekon you should have a go at moulding your own peices out of fibraglass to cover the area where the radiator meets the frame.

Theres a few trick parts on that, but it still looks normal... raise the back end with a jack up kit and get more aggression into that bike, its not evil enough, tune the engine too.

I did say slight, only a couple of inches or so. Not a LukeVFR stubby.

The can dominates the back just a bit too much, IMO.

Surely a smaller diameter can or a twin under belly can set up with spouts facing outwards would look a bit better?

Spose would look good with both wheels in orange Cool
The akra may be cut down a little, still thinking bout that.
I had an old carbon can laying around, so stubbied that, so have a choice when i get bored of one.

that slight enough?Laughing

https://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g227/h3llr4iser/YZF%20750/DSC00287.jpg

Thought about goin the thou engine route Twisted Evil
But the 750's enough for now.

Dogbones for jacking the rear might be next, and heard a 5mm spacer on the top shock mount works well.

I have a simpson predator front fairing, which i was gonna
fit at one time, lenses need replacing first.

As with projects, things always change due to various reasons.
The original idea was to fit a ninja/z750/1000 tail.
Might still happen yet.

This was early on and before the change of front end and tail thats fitted now.

https://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g227/h3llr4iser/YZF%20750/Picture005.jpg

Using that front on summut else now.
Reckon i should do a show and tell thread?
Maybe just get this moved and add to it?

Thanks for all the input! Very Happy Thumbs Up
