hi guys, my 91 gs500e keeps cutting out.
the bike runs fine, the carbs are clean, air filter is good and so on.
if im riding, every so often the bog will bog down and cut out.
ive got an in line filter on so i can see if there is any fuels coming through. but when it cuts out there is none.
i switch it to prime, and still no fuel coming through.
but ive found if i suck on the vent hose coming out of the top of the carbs, the feul starts coming through, then i can switch it off prime and back onto main and it will run fine.
then after a while it will ahppen again, what could be the problem? cheers,
josh.

Hi

Try cleaning out the feul tap and the gauze feed inside the tank, also check the tank breather,

whats the best way to clean the gause? with an air line? they look a bit fragile, would that damage it?

ive just had the tank off and everything, but the gauze was clean but i gave it a blow out anyway, and the breather pipe isnt blocked because i blew through it and even looked right down through the pipe out the bottom of the tank, no blockage. ahhrgg im so confused! i think the only thing left is the scrap heap.!
i was wondering what the best way to free up a seized bolt it, because i cant undo the bolts to my headers, because there all corroded any seized and need to get them out because my zorst is shafted harcore, its blowing out of where the heders come out the engine, and the weld has cracked whe the pipe meets the silencer, and know my bike just pops, coffs, makes a rite old racket and runs as rough as bagers!
cheers
josh
