Some of you out there might be interested in the deal Nick Sanders is doing on the three volumes of Parallel World and his book.

I'd been wanting to buy these for a while, but didn't really want to pay £57.80 for the lot inc delivery. Just visited his website on the off chance and there's a deal for the whole lot for £35 inc delivery until Easter.

Just ordered mine! Can't wait! Razz

Sorry but I meet Nick Sanders a few years ago at the BMF Show with his little stall.
I bought the DVD he made and managed to haggle £1 off the price. After the show, I went back home and hastily watched the DVD. I would probably rate it lower than any other DVD I have watched ever. The whole DVD was just he really slow talking voice which was annoying at best of times and the film had very little events or funny parts. It was just an hour and a half of a slow talking northern person commenting on how good a R1 is for travelling aboard. How the hell can you get excited by that?

To top it off I went the next years BMF Show and he is still trying to cash in on the worst DVD ever made. When I confronted Nick at the stall he said that I had obviously watched a different DVD as his DVD was the most brilliant, well produced, directed and cut film instead of saying something along the lines of "No worries young man, I shall take your advice for my next DVD".

A+ C*nt!

If you thought that was bad you should try the book. I think you'd need to be on some sort of mind-bending drugs to make it to the end.

I wouldn't want to go on one of his tours. turn up pay your cash then he fucks off saying catch up if you can. Watch his dvds of his tours and you end up just wanting to smack him, his now ex misses was fine though.

Have to agree with previous posts, i got about three or four chapters into his last bok before i had to give up. Duller than 2 century old brass. disjointed and not very well written to boot.

Yeah, he comes across as more than a bit dull on that TV series her did, Biker Britain. Put me off the book totally.

Just bought Mondo Enduro which I'm looking forward to reading.

I watched some of a TV series he did on Men & Motors a few years ago. In the parts I watched he was riding through Australia. I found it quite interesting.

I got the 'Parallel World' DVD's I think they are better then 'Journey Beyond Reason' , you can't fit a world trip in one short show, it was just a disc of him rushing about and darting in and out of petrol stations.
My main complaint about Parallel World is that the DVD's are being sold as three separate parts at 13 quid each which is really expensive for an hour long DVD.
The long way round DVD I've got is 12 hours long and all 3 disc's only cost £15 as a set. I think about £18 for a 3 disc set would have been a much fairer price for Parallel World.

There has been a bit of a delay on the 3rd disc as his still editing it, he did send an email out apologizing for this so its not a problem.
The editing actually seems a lot better on this set then it does on his past ones.

He still rambles on about a load of crap and interview people that don't speak a word of English, so he ends up just talking at them.
But I suppose its very hard to narrate a solo tour as theirs no banter so he has to talk about something.
You do get to see more riding and landmarks along the way which is nice, the part traveling down through Africa looks particularly tough going on an R1 and the fact that he has no support crew or anything like LWD makes it seem a bit more cool.

I haven't even read the book yet but it came as part of the package, his signed it so I might be able to flog it on ebay if he dies or something Smile
Its more of an album of photos from the trip then a travel story.
Its packed with some stunning pictures, but the few parts I've read so far just seem to be some of his thoughts from the DVD's copied into the book.
