Hi, just found these forums! looks good.
Im new to bikes and Im learning at the moment, my difference being that my bike is adapted its a cbf600s with all the controls modified and moved to the right hand side as my left arm is artificial (electric). Was told for years that I couldn't ride a bike then found out I could. Im gettin there slowly...
One reason for coming on her is that I am lookin for a 125cc along the lines of an sr, cb,gs, cg etc etc that is either going cheap or could be considered on short term loan so I can modify it and get some more experience on the road. Time out on my bike is not enough generally because of the cost of lessons and tying it in with payday lol.
The NADB granted me money to adapt my 600 but as a short term idea to aid with the credit crunch and gettin more time on the road I'm lookin for a 125 that could help me out. I'm in the portsmouth area but willing to travel within reason if ithe right thing turns up!
Please if anybody can help me or knows where I could look locally to try and keep costs down I'd be really grateful if you could contact me. When my story goes in the papers locally I'll be sure to give you a mention!
Thanks a million
Lisa Rolling Eyes

Problem with the 125s is that they have a premium on them due to being learner bikes.

There's a tonne of places you could look though:

I must say I admire the desire of those to ride despite being a difficult for them. Good on you!

Best of luck with finding a bike.

You using a hand or a foot clutch?

Are you aware that the Honda Innova 125 has a semi-auto 4-speed gearbox?

The gearshift, front brake, rear brake and throttle are in the same place as on a normal bike, just no clutch lever.

It looks like a stepthrough but rides like a motorbike.

If you're looking for a 125 as a way to get through your test, you may be interested to know you can still ride any bike if you're accompanied by an instructor - even on your CBT. Obviously, you won't be able to practice on your own, but at least you can book yourself in for a DAS course, and do it all on your own bike.

The Suzuki Address is another semi-automatic in the same style.

am using hand cltuch on right side, dual levers. I'm lookin to get a 125 so i can get out and get some riding on my own at this moment in time to build up experience.
I have looked into a DAS course but would also feel happier gettin some riding time in between times out on my 600 on lessons...just trying to find a short term solution that will help me achieve my goal.
I had similar problems of having to buy a car to get practice in to when i learnt to drive. I have a willing engineer who converted my 600 to do a 125 if i can track one down. Just trying to attack the credit crunch head on really lol.
