So yeah, the weather is awful, and i have no choice but to get on the bike and go to work, i walk it to the main roads that are all gritted, and drive slowly on my way.

On a main road, drivers are getting angry at me cause im doing 35 in a 50 zone, but screw it id rather be safe then get somewhere a bit faster.

Anyway a driver overtakes me, then gets infront of me, starts to wobble and brakes extremely heavily, he must of hit some ice, i then have a split second decision whether or not to try and brake, or to ram into the back of his car at 35, which would of either killed me or put me in hospital.

I step down on the back brake a bit, start to skid, let go and then sluightly apply my front, that was the worst thing i could have done looking back.

The bike flips me over sideways, and i slam right into the floor and hardly slight, the bike lands on me im stuck, the driver that overtook me, looks at me, probably thinks im dead, and drives off.....cunt.

Anyway as far as bike damage, fairing scratched and cracked to hell, adn front right indicator and fairing smashed in.

As far as damage to me, massive bruises down the whole right side and a well painfull hip from where i slammed.

SO anyone have any idea where i can get some Black and Silver colours 2003 nsr 125 RR fairing.

Peace

ps. Drivers are dicks

Ebay or google NSR fairings, there's a few places that do them but you'll pay a fair bit.

as above, but i think you will do well to find them second hand in black/silver as there arn't many about.

i did pretty much the same once and looking back after i could have quite easily just swerved round it, but its not that simple when you have 0.0000001 seconds to react and your natural reaction is to brake, its hard to do both at the same time lol

was there any witneses, did you involve the police?

You could streetfight your bike if you can't get fairings? or wait to get a set of fairings, also look on ebid (good ebay alternative)

Sorry to hear about the tumble. And sickened to hear that someone drive straight past you when it was obvious you were injured. I dropped the big Zed once after a van cut me off at a T-junction, the bike weights about 225kg dry so there was no chance of picking her up myself, but i tried. I think 5 cars went right past me and looked straight at me, not one stopped to help.

Anyway,

Ebay is usually a good place for fairing panels though you can never be sure of the condition, even if they have pics. Try some local bike breakers, NRS's are common bikes to be broken down so you might be able to find what your looking for there.

Bad luck mate like the others said keep your eye on Ebay and e-mail all the bike breakers you can you might be lucky but you may after settle for a differant colour and spray them up also try and get in touch with david silver spares they can sometimes get hold of panels even though they don't have them on the website.
l'll ask around on the other nsr forums and let you know if l find anything.

dave silvers can order them in from honda, i asked for a price list of all new panels sometime last year, the big side ones were around £120 each, the seat cowl was £70 each side and nose cone comes in three parts which i think were around £40 each IIRC.

they should also have the ones your after(black/silver), not sure if the price is the same though as i was quoted for traditional red, white and blue ones

Another question, how many parts does the fairing split into.

As far as im aware, it has a tail panel, a left and right side panel, and a front foxeye panel.

But someone said that the tail and foxeye split, so if i can get away with it, i only need to replace one side of my foxeye, side panel, and tail.

Also anyone have any idea what colour code i need for the 2003 nsr 125 rr in black and silver .

Peace

the seat cowl is in 3 pieces- left, right, middle(bit under grab rail).

then there are 2 main fairings- left and right with inner fairing pieces at the front edge, but your old inner ones should still be ok.

front section is 3 external and 2 internal- left, right, middle and a left, right internal, the internal one may well have broken as mine did went i crashed it.

also the intake pipes are seperate aswell so you will have almost certainly scuffed one of them.

and your colour code is on a sticker under the seat, mine was R-127 but i think yours is NH-???

you got any pictures?

Could you not fibre glass/plastic weld the cracks and then spray over?
