XR400 30bhp?

i have been told that the 2005+ XR400 only has 30bhp, does this mean i could get one on a 33bhp restriction licence without restricting it

Yea it would be fine as it puts out the following
30 hp (22.4 kw ) the limit is 25kw output on a A2 restricted licence.

I would check power to weight ratio though (max. 0.16 kW/kg), there is a limit on this too.

Hi

Kerb weight is 129kg (from an autodata book), so based on that you could have up to 28hp.

Although whether the claimed weight is vaguely accurate is another question.

Claimed weight will be way under the reality. Plus it's rare enough for the police to even know the law on restricted bikes, let alone check the power.. so how rare do you think it is that they'll check the power, weigh the bike and work out the power to weight ratio?

but also if they see a 17 year old fly past them on the dual carriage way on say a magicly derestricted r6 they will know somethings up
