 |
|
Gave the bike a clean today for the first time and come a across some bits that need doing, rust and muck but i'm not too sure how to get rid of it?
Also my rear brake squeaks when i'm pushing the bike around. Any ideas why?
Here's some pictures of the problem areas: ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

try a wire brush for the harder bits of rust
and wire wool.
for rear brake, maybe the pads are worn out, or its sticking?
try taking the pad out, put copper grease on the back of it and put it back in. or new ones ____________________ Yamaha RXS 100 > Honda CD 250 > Honda Hornet 600 > Honda CBR 600RR > Yamaha RXS 100 > Kawasaki ZX6R J2 > Yamaha FZ1

How much will it cost to get the rear brake set right again? I don't want to spend too much as I was looking to get the bike sold soon. ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

Its possible to restore that. Stainless steel bolts, Scotchbrite, and respraying the brake pedal. Heres one I did earlier Thats a 1998 CBR

andi: That looks amazing considering how old the bike is puts mine to shame
I think i'll put the polishing on hold until this stupid brake is sorted. I'm not sure what to do, should I DIY it or take it to the mechanic OR sell it as it is and keep quiet ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636
