Hello everybody.

The problem is what follows.

When going quiet fast and changing gear, there's a heavy clunk. I've tried everything but cannot get it work properly. I've adjusted the chain, changed transmission oil etc, but with no success. Maybe it's the clutch ? or maybe I'm using wrong oil ? I am using 20W50 full syntetic oil for 4-stroke engines, as the manual says.

please help.

had a similar problem with my ninja for a while...turned out my clutch wasn't adjusted properly, so it wasn't being fully dis-engaged before i changed gear

regards

Okay.

But how do I adjust the clutch like that ?

I mean...if the bike stands still with the engine running and in first gear or whatever, it does not move. So doesn't the clutch work then ? Surprised

On a side note my old RGV's workshop manual specified 10W40 4-stroke oil. (The RS250 uses the RGV engine and gearbox)

Yea.. mine is foremost 1-3 as well, but it does bother me : (

I've tried both 20W50 oil for 4-stroke engines and 75W90 oil. No big difference thou.

Does it happen when you clutchless change as well?

Some bike just do clunk... but the two 'prilia 250s I've had have both had very light gearoxes, as you might expect.

The box on my rs clunks sometimes changing down even though the chains adjusted and new gearbox oil.

I think the box is going on mine though because I have a habbit of changing down without the clutch Shocked
