Went for a sedate hoon at 4ish this morning, and for the first time in a while it was warm enough for the full summer gear evil power ranger suit Very Happy got back in and realised how much I've missed the whole half dozen zips and velcros thing....

That is normal right? I'm not the only one that really enjoys getting suited and booted, 11 zips, each more satisfying than the last, 7 velcros and 4 poppers, yay summer gear.

That's all well and good, until you realise once you've put everything on that you need a piss...

Still too cold for summer gear for me. If I'm in textiles I don't go as silly either.

Oh, Chris, man up! Laughing

I went to my job interview in january wearing leathers!
Admittedly, i had 2 thermal layers beneath them + base layer... and then my hoodie above it. Was pretty toasty. I prefer wearing my 1 piece than going goretex. It's warm and windproof and there's less seams. I hate nothing more than wind riding up yer back.

It all depends on whether you get a hard on or not. Confused

I only have my leathers, so they are worn through the winter...

Can get a bit hairy with the Summer gloves (damn air intakes!)

I certaintly wouldn't enjoy getting a hard on in a tight leather suit! Be quite painful Confused

I've grown out of my 2 piece (AGAIN Evil or Very Mad ).

Every year I think I have stopped growing, get a nice set of leathers and then find out next summer I am 3 inches too tall for them.

So at the moment I'm in ped boi standard issue jeans and hoodie with expensive lid Embarassed

I had my first proper 'non-commuting' run out earlier this week too....damn, I'd missed it. Fair few bikes out too, and i've noticed a lot more on the road.

The clincher was this morning - I got to work and the double-yellows were already full of bikes so I had to park outside my office window instead.

It really must be getting nice again Very Happy

Dunno man, it just seems fucking boiling at the moment compared to the -3000 degrees we had recently.

But yeah, i ain't complaining. My fingers aren't about to drop off after a 20 min ride anymore Thumbs Up

I went out in the AN 2pc just before the cold spell to try out the ColdKillers windstopper thermals.

Very impressed. Bit draughty but wasn't uncomfortable.

Yep its that time of year again where you get the weird sensation of having your foreskin rolled back by tight leathers Cool

I'll bust out the leathers when the clocks go forward, hopefully the roads will be de-slimed by them and I'll be able to try and little harder.

I only wear leather trousers as I find a textile jacket is more practical (waterproof pockets etc). I do wear them all year round though as I find my legs don't get nearly as cold as my torso. This is probably helped by my leathers zipping to my textiles eliminating the draught left by the gap between jacket/trousers. If it's cold I wear cotton-lined tracksuit bottoms underneath for warmth. If it's raining I put some waterproof trousers over my leathers and boots. For me it's a simple and effective solution.

Can't say I enjoy getting 'leathered up' it although I do like the feeling of being all dressed up and not getting cold when I walk outside. On the other hand, I get pissed off with getting all wrapped up then, realising I've forgotten something, ending up rushing round the house searching for it and working up a sweat. Most uncomfortable.
