Probably quite poor.

You'll never be out of second or third gear, and be too slow out of the corners that the smaller lighter bikes will be on the power way earlier and the power of the 12R wont make any difference.

Be quite an experience though! Thumbs Up

Should be ok - if you have to ask, then undoubtedly it can go faster than you can! Smile
Not the perfect bike and you'll have to be a little more careful than on others, but should still be enjoyable enough and probably better than many other bikes out there.

Out of interest, what are you basing this comment on?

Just wondering with your sig saying your current bike is a Yamaha R125 and all.

weight isnt that huge a factor as soon as your moving, zx7r's for example weigh a lot yet more than most other bikes and there pretty nimble on the track (iirc they were used for motogp)

problems i can see is the physical size and a much longer wheel base than a smaller bike hence making cornering somewhat less stable.

of course its down to the rider, theres a vid on a guys sig of a goldwing tearing apart sport 6's on the twisties.

the best way to find out is try it, if it sucks then you'l just have to get better with it and ride it differently as any bike can be fun to use when used properly.

+1

The main 'power' points are the long lefthander up to the hairpin and then the uphill drag out of it; there will be very few things that will be able to live with the 12 at that point...as longs as you are getting the power down, even if your in corner speed is slower.

Keep if flowing and smooth for the remainder and you're there !!

Go; you'll have a ball regardless Cool

Not really.
A ZX12 with a light rider will probably weigh less than a GSXR1000 with a heavier rider, yet you don't see people suggesting 'big' riders won't be good on trackdays Smile.
I've ridden a K1200R (fair bit heavier than the Kwak I believe) around Brands Indy in the fast group and it was fine; I was easily lapping as fast as I was on my race bike and faster racers out there were still managing to lap in times that'd see they doing fine in an open-class race.
The combined weight of a sports bike and a-bit-chunky rider with all the kit is easily 300kg, so if you're talking 350kg or similar, it's not a massive difference.

Do remember to only get faster a little bit at a time.
Whatever bike, do this and you should be fine.
It's the people that get quicker fast that often crash within their first few trackdays.

And just to plant a seed/teach you to suck eggs Embarassed

If its dry and you get a bit of a shake from the bars when going over the crest at the start finish line...be aware that you might need to pump the brakes into Duffus Thumbs Up Reckon the 12 will be too stable for that though.

If its wet, the back will spin up over the crest

Only had a quick glance at the clocks on my 600, but reckon it was between 110-120...so you'll be a fair bit faster, but on the brakes earlier.

Duffus dip is surprisingly open and sweeping and not as tight and torturous as it looks on telly, its a bit of a blind entrance, but knockhill do put cones out showing turn in, apex and exit point Thumbs Up

Only mentioned the spinning up as even my 600 was doing it, in the dry I get a gentle wheelie and a gentle nod of the bars on landing.

Never bothered with any extra insurance on the bike and you don't need any for the track.
