My guess is that the bollards are there to make this a dead end road and as such it's no longer a valid route. Using it on the bike, as you can squeeze through is probably not permitted, however if there is no obvious dead end sign or no entry sign I'm not sure how you'd get on in an accident.
Personally I'm not surprised you've not been seen, let's face it most car drivers don't see bikes on the road! If I was you, I'd be very, very careful, as I think you'd be in trouble in the event of an accident.
Go careful - you're nearly home anyway!! ____________________ 'The core of a man's spirit comes from new experiences'

Well considering that the road is blocked off to traffic, most people won't look.....
But they still should, as there could be a pedestrian or a cyclist coming from that direction.
In your situation, when cutting through that "Rat Run" i would continue down the road with great care.
If they hit you then they would be at fault..... Not that its of much use when your bike is a mangled mess on the floor.
You could tackle the local council on the bollards, as its possible that they are not legal. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
