**Update**
Well the frame is back from aliminium welding as there was a crack on the rear seat mounting lug, so had it all pro welded and re shaped to look like it was never a problem.
The shock absorber finaly came undone and gave up its spring so i can get it blasted and powder coted.
I also managed to get a load of parts of ebay a whole fairing kit inc tank. So im in the process of finding the best bits and preping them for spraying.
All the metal frame parts and odds and sods are at the blaster and hes just called me telling me the frame and swingarm are now ready to go into paint
He recons it will all be ready to collect on Wednesday... so pics will be posted |

Gloss black for the frame. It'll look amazing.

My old bandit frame.
Never seen a bike with a bolt together headstock before either. Looks cool.
Sounds like you've got the makings of a cracking project there mate!

Took me bloody ages to get back down to the frame number, but its all there still even though the frame was sand blasted. (Thank god)
Since i got the frame painted i have been thinking about spraying things myself as i used to when i had my workshop but ever since then i haven't had the room to play.
So yesterday i got the go ahead from the other half to get a compressor, airline and a couple of spray guns from the Sealy tools man. All will be delivered by Wednesday (hopefully)
I am also painting all the fairings with my colour scheme so just ordered some Tango orange and some burnt orange micro flakes to go in with it to make a flat orange a nice metalic. Just got to get some 1k high build primer and some 2k medium laquer. |
