Tilt bike so weight is on side stand (easier with two people but not impossible on ya own), slide block under frame on opposite side. Tilt slightly onto block side, slide lower block under sidestand.
Obviously axle stands are better, but if you have to use what you've got... ____________________ CBR125|||GSXR400|||CBR400|||CBR400|||CB250RS|||GSXR750|||CB250RS

You can push the front end over towards the side stand so the wheel lifts off the ground then put a chock of wood/axle stand under the engine at the front to hold it there.
It is no less stable than leaving it on the sidestand normally.
This leaves the bike balanced on the rear wheel, sidestand and bit of wood. Works fine. You can do this for the rear wheel too by putting your stand under the swingarm. In fact, you can do both at once.
As has been said, do the preliminary stripping (callipers off etc) and loosen the main nut before you lift it. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
