Is it just me or does anyone else grin and get a warm fuzzy feeling inside when you see a pedestrian but they don't see you, so you slow down (a bit) knowing they are gonna walk out in front of you, so they do then all of a sudden notice you and have that moments panic/jumping before getting the rabbit stuck in a headlight look then running away!
Always makes me laugh, or am I being a bit sadistic?! ____________________ Love is 1050cc |

Yeah that's great.
So's the sneaking up next to the curb with the clutch pulled in then bouncing it off the limiter as you go past them. ____________________ My Flickr |

Yeah, I had that last night, she was walking across the junction and I knew she was just gonna keep on going so when the lights changed I just sat there and looked at her... she suddenly stopped and realized why I was still sitting there and got out of the way with an embarassed smile.
And as she was a super-cute waitress from the Chinese restaurant I'll forgive her ____________________ Previous: 2002 Honda CB500 (sold), 2007 Suzuki SV650SK6 (crashed), 2005 Yamaha FZ6 Fazer (sold). Currently bikeless

Yeah, that happenned to me tonight. Turning into a small road from the high street and had to slow down for three chav girls who were blindly crossing the road. Bipped my horn and the all absolutely jumped and screamed at the same time.
Had me giggling to myself all the way down the road ____________________ In everyday life good people do good things, bad people do bad things. It takes religion to make a good person do bad things. |

Does anyone ever get the pedestrians who see you and step into the road taking half the road space up then stand there looking at you as though your in there way! they must think because your on a motorbike you only need half the road |

I was going through a taxi rank by a bike park at 15mph, very old woman, must have been 85 plus walks right out in front of me. The Chinkmobile's brakes sort of do the job and I just nudge her leg, and she carrys on walking.
Bear in mind my bike has a completely straight through pipe that is illegally loud.
I walked up to her after parking and very politely told her I just nearly killed her to which she responded "Sorry dear?"

Lumley Road (the main shopping street going through Skegness) is notorious for people doing this. It's a nightmare when you're an inexperienced country boy, as I once was.
Among my victims are my ex-girlfriend and the lad she left me for. What made it even more satisfying was that I was leaving a cycle parking bay which involved having to go down a low kerb where pedestrians cross to get to the other side of the street. They were crossing the road and suddenly they saw me, coming towards them . They soon stopped holding hands. ____________________ H100 Breaking for spares |

A week or so after installing my Motrax Hootaz horns, I was coming out of the work car park and there were a few students dithering in the road. I slowed down until I was right behind them. I expected someone to notice me but they stayed there, dordelling away, so I decided to 'warn them of my presence'. They literally jumped out of their skin, leaping in every direction possible. Theres a college just round the corner and sometimes i like to venture that way home because its got a few nice lanes to ride down. But you can't see the bend ever because theres always loads of emo students waiting to cross the road on a bend. My nsr backfires for fun (btw is it broke because it does it alot) i just give it a bit of a twist and then come off the power stick thing and scare the crap out of them. I must do it 3 times a week its awesome fun. |

Almost started a thread like this the other day.
Going at 10 mph through a car park, silly bint didn't see me coming, so gave a quick beep of my horn. She stopped short and screamed like I'd just stuck a knife in her. Even funnier was that another woman who was a few feet behind her had no idea what was going on but screamed in sympathy! |

A mate of mine had a VFR800, which apparently had extremely bright headlights, he was riding down a country lane when he saw this drunk bloke standing at the side of the road, as the bike came closer, the drunk bloke held his hands up to shield his eyes, lost his balance and fell backwards into a ditch at the side of the road.
My mate carried on riding, whilst laughing his arse off!
Cheers

I was kicking my bike over the other day and it did an almighty backfire (for a 125). My mate who is nervous around bikes anyways was standing right by the exhaust, he fell over and later admitted he actually thought he'd been shot ____________________ Don't practice it until you get it right, practice it until you don't get it wrong.
