208's should be ok, depends on your definition of damp.
I've been caught out on 002's before, but the 208RR has much more tread and a lower operating temperature than those tyres, so you should be ok. ____________________ My Flickr |

In the wet i think its more of a case of making sure you're comfortable in the wet, rather than what tyre you have (bar avons or something or something renowned for being shit)
Slow and smooth.
Im actually advising myself cos of Rock on 21st and it might rain, it is march But same applies I suppose.
Just make sure you dont push past your bounderies, take it slow n steady building smoothly to a faster pace ____________________ "Oh....it looks like Average Joe's is forfeiting the match!" - "Yeah, its a risky strategy but lets see if it pays off for 'em Cotton." |

If you have a set of wets then put them on if it is damp ... a new set of wets is cheaper than a crashed bike ... and you will have more fun from the day if you have more confidence in the tyres, so you are not wasting the £??? for the trackday etc ...
That said, the 208RRs will be fine/good in the damp!! ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |
