Right, i'm in a road movie kind of mood these past few days. So short of buying a pontiac GTO (donations to the fund gratefully recieved), BCF is all I have.
Hopefully there are some road movie geeks out here.

Whats your take on the driving off the cliff shit at the end of Thelma and Louise?

Same question about running into the road block in Vanishing Point?

Vanishing point, watched it two days ago.
Awesome film...freedom and life all packaged into a Dodge V8.

Road movies are good, but for proper petrol head action there is only one film, the best film ever made.

Loads of car movies aren't necessarily road movies, but still cool.

Does Worlds Fastest Indian count as a road movie?
Cos I like that, and its bike related (just for Blackpig )
(actually prolly it doesn't but it has that sort of "things going on and guy just going along with the flow" feeling, but then that's prolly just the way Burt Munro was, LOL)

If you like road movies you should get hold of a copy of The Gumball Rally.

Its before the crappy Cannonball Run movies and is far far far superior.

It has the singular distinction of being the only Hollywood movie (possibly ever) to use genuine car engine sounds from each individual car in the movie. So a Ferrari Daytona sounds like a Ferrari Daytona and a AC Cobra sounds like an AC Cobra.

Never seen vanishing point and I didn't like Thelma and Louise.

Thought Easy Rider was complete bollox as well.

I have yet to find a serious drama type movie that has bikes as a central and pulls it off.
