So who were you guys egging on Haga san or Max...?

I don't know what it is about Max Biaggi (I just don't like him, I think he's a twerp...yeah he's a fine rider, but he's still a twerp!!!)

I've always like Haga, so I was shouting for him for the last 6 laps of both races...

Haga certainly looks smoother than he has in the past, but I just can't see him keeping it up for the full season. I was very impressed with the aprilia this w/e. If they can keep that up then i think we may see Max on top of the podium soon.
Spies is the man to beat this year. Could this be yamaha's first world superbike title? Its long overdue. (yes, i know they won the manufacturer's title in 2007, but its the riders title that people remember)

Haga is still on top form, so as long as Ducati keep up he'll be champ. Max or should i say Aprillia are on fire, what an awesome bike, but max gets easily ruffled.

Pat
what do i know i just watch them go round and round

To be honest, this year I'm really not bothered who wins the title. There are no riders out there I really dislike.

I'd like to see Max go well as it will show what a good job Aprillia have done getting a brand new untested bike ready. This will be Haga's best chance at the title, so I dont think we'll see him crash as much this year but it looks like Ben Spies wants the gate crash the party going by the first 4 rounds!!! Thumbs Up

I think Haga deserves to win it after trying for the best part of 6 years now.

Haga has been so close over the years, was it 2 points in it at the end of 2007? between him and JT, i'd love to see him win this year.

Haga. been a fan since 1999, and he's deserved a championship ever since the Aprillia season

If it wasn't for Settee Gibbon-How, Max Biaggi would've won the cup for "GP rider i'd most like to smack with my keyboard" four years running, granted he's a nicer person now he's on WSB but still.. Very Happy

was hoping to see more from Shane Byrne on a superbike ride though

it worries me slightly that I can see something happening in WSB that i don't really like the thought of.. *dons predicting hat*:

likely outcome 1: Haga wins the championship this time around, media will say that he only won because he's using bayliss' old bike, he should win, anyone on the ducati would win, bayliss is "teh god(tm)", if bayliss were here he'd have won easily

likely outcome 2: Spies wins on the new Yamaha, media will say that obviously Haga was holding back the development of the Yamaha (ignoring the fact that i doubt you could find a wheelnut in common with the 2008 Yamaha Italia bike)

still, the Valencia races were excellent, Haga's riding was incredibly mature, he looked so much more in control than he's ever looked Smile

Being smooth is all well and good. but bloody boring.

He knew the track and really owned, so good for him Thumbs Up

But seriously, the 600 race was so much more entertaining!

Did anyone watch it? Thoughts?

Crutchlow = Legend Thumbs Up

gah, i stopped bothering with the 600 races a while back because every even was just:

[sofuoglu]
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
[the other ten-cate bike]
-
-
[everyone else]

don't tell me there's actually variety in them now? Smile

The last 2 600 races I've seen (and the last few of last season) were so much better than the thous its unreal.

This weekends was awesome, partially damp track so everyone almost level, 10 at the front, 5 at the front, finally a battle between Crutchlow and West, it was frickin great.

Not particularly dicing much (but there have been a fair few 600 races I've seen that have seen 4/5 riders dicing very well!) but crutchlow waited and waited til last lap.

Was good stuff Thumbs Up A kawasaki finished 5th for christs sake!
