Well I bought it! Smile

Absolutely MINT. One little chip on the tank (smaller than like 2mmx2mm)
Thats the only bad point I could find.

Harris rear sets
Pazzo racing levers
Braided Lines
Tinted screen
Ohlins steering damper

Few other tarty bits.

Need to get the grips off really and get some renthal Softs on there, The ones that are on are too chunky.
Need to change the bar ends too. its got some carbon fiber ones on that I dont like.

Other than that, and a couple of stickers I want to take off, Like the Pazzo Racing one on the screen.

She's a real goer!

8k miles on the clock (Yes, Eight thousand)
full service history (all of 2 services)

Comes with a spare set of mint Renegade pipes, And a set of stock pipes.
All parts to put it back to stock are included too.

Its de-restricted in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Apparently they had a rev limiter in them gears from factory.

Its overall a really tidy bike. And mother Fucking fast at that!

Rolled on in 2nd from 60. Fuck mee my elbows were about to pop out of their sockets. Passed a cop car at an indicated 150. Embarassed
It was pitch black, Overtook it on the A2, Saw it out of the corner of my eye, I just didn't slow down. Luckily I changed onto the M2 a bit further up and got out of its sight. I dont even think it bothered to chase me.

Its tucked up beside the Busa now until next week, Once I've moved house I'll get it out and get some decent pictures.

Absolutely love it. Bit of a big bike to get used to. Its physically bigger than the Busa too.

Stopped off for a bit of petrol.

I just cant wait for a nice day to take it for a real good ride. Get used to it.

I rode it home in the cold and dark tonight. I didnt really know what was what. Harris hangers on the most extreme setting. They'll have to come forward a bit.

I really must research the bike like. I dont even know if its Carb or Injection. All I know is its got a fuel light.

I've just realised something... Thous and big-boyz sports bikes from the 98-2003 era are very practical! See that seat hump? I wonder how many K's of cocaine you can stash in there, or a KFC family bucket!

My mate jokingly said when i opened my seat cowl; "Tot, you can find madeline McCann in there!"

That said, nobody would believe that the wheelbase of the TL is very similar to an R1 if only the proportions didn't make it look that low and wide.

And yeah, get a Double Bubble sorted!
Must sound like hell on earth when u thunder it down the road.

Spare cans will sell.
But why would I want to sell the Harris rear sets and Pazzos? Confused

And I'll be doing a track day anyway. Smile

And yea, Its an awesome machine. Bloody quick.

Awesome real world sports bike and cult bike rolled into one! Nice buy Binge!

The TLS/TLR/VTR/SP1+2, are some of the least common and most original Jap sportsbikes seen in the last 10years. They are all great and have lots of character.

The Triumph 955i also nearly makes it as an excellent real world sports bike, and is another rare and underrated machine IMO/

I guess if you're alright money-wise then, hang onto them. I just meant get rid of the bits that don't really do anything / add anything. Just my opinion of course. Wink Should get about £130-190 for the Renegade Pipes.

I've not even seen the bike since I dropped it in at my Dads garage last night. Next time I'm going to see it will be Monday, when I ride it up to my new house and stick it in the garage there. (Providing its dry).

The ride home wasnt alot to go by, Alot of A road and Motorway, Very cold, Pitch black, New bike. Meant I couldnt really have a play.

I think I will be taking it easy on this bike. It seems a little big to be chucking about, Scraping my knees on the road, And pulling stand up wheelies.

Another reason I've decided to keep hold of the pit bike. So I can be a total arse on that. And have the TLR to cruise around on.
It's had a very easy life, Only 2 previous owners, Plus myself. Making me the third owner.

The original owner was a bit of a fair weather rider, Had a few bikes, And this one rarely got used.

The chap I bought it off was in the Army. He bought it at 7000 miles. I've just taken ownership at 8600 miles.

Really couldnt beleive the millage at first. I was looking for signs of wear and tear which could be a give away its a replacement clock.
But theres nothing. Its actually like riding a very new bike. Everything is just so smooth. The gears just glide in. The Hydraulic clutch is awesome. The whole thing just Kicks arse.

The only one concern I have is the rear shock. Its the Standard TLR item.
What are my options on an upgrade? I believe its worth doing?

Going to drop into Laguna's in the next few days. Need to buy myself some new gloves (SP1's or GP Pro's is what I want). And I also want some renthal grips and different bar ends.

Will get some more pictures as soon as I take it out for a ride. Smile

I'd of only bought Pazzos and rear sets anyway. They made me choose the bike over a stock one.

I've seen Suzuki foot peg assemblies (rear sets) going for £60/£70 PER side on ebay. Shocked
So I was thinking about chucking the stock items on there.

I'm going to try out the Renegade cans once I've got the bike at my new garage. And decide which I like more. The Quill cans are baffled up as they are actually road legal cans.

The Guy I bought it off said the renegade cans were fucking Stupid loud. So I might give them a miss.

And I was great money wise. Until now.

I've just had to pay a top up fee on my pit bike, To take the NCB off that, And onto the TLR. So Paid an extra £60 on the pit insurance.

And I'm insuring the TLR at £330 for the year.

Just spent £60 odd on a new DB screen and Headlight cover. And I still need to get boots and gloves. Laughing

Roll on pay day.

See how you find it first. If youre not happy with it, you could get a conventional shock (ie, spring and damper in one) from Bitubo. Got one on my S and its so much better than the rotary POS.
You can get em from zion motorsport, but the guy I dealt with is a bit of a clown, hard to get hold of Confused

https://www.zionmoto.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx?Pid=535b4b4c-5a2b-481a-8522-2c5e86c4bb1f

At £359 quid though you cant go wrong.

Was really happy for you until then.

Wanker Laughing

Thinking

How much did she set you back then man?

Also, kneedown fun is still very very much possible Twisted Evil Dav1 on here had one, he preferred it for road fun to his current '05 zx10r Wink

Also, yes, no wheelies. V-twin + Wheelies, Nooo Laughing

But theyre awesome bikes. Seriously man, get the Renegades on. You will fall in love with the sound Drooling

That is absolutely gorgeous Binge, that must be about as opposite as you could possibly get to the pit-bike (size and power). It must feel lethal.

Binge, sweet bike, I can't wait to get the firestorm on the road (not quite the same thing but it was only 700 quid!)

How about keeping the renegades and popping in some baffles that you can remove if you want? MOT'ing shouldn't be a problem, I know a place in longfield (not too far from you right?) that will pretty much MOT and noise level, the owner is a bit of a nut case!

All the best,

Joe

(p.s get a vid of her up Thumbs Up )

I paid £2400 for the bike. £400 more than I was expecting to spend on a TLR (I've seen them average at £2000). But £100 less than an R6 I was going to buy. Smile

I made the bloke the offer of £2400. He bought it for £3000 6 months before hand (receipts to prove). And then went on to spend £200 on the Ohlinds damper, £120 on the Pazzos, £300 on the Harris rear sets, etc. So its got all the bits I want, and for a pretty good price IMO. To say its only done 8000 miles. Which is reflected on the way it rides, and how good everything still is. It looks like a brand new bike.

It is very opposite to the Pit bike, I think alot of people are forgetting I had 3 Honda 400s, And have been insured to ride a Hayabusa for the past 12 months.

But I must admit, The TLR is pretty fast. Laughing

Videos to come. I move house again tomorrow, Into a place with its own garage. So the bikes will be coming with me. Will get pictures and videos then. Smile
