Why would you want a glass fuel filter? I'm guessing for tarty value? I would think glass you be bad since it's very prone to cracks/breaking Karma

Hmmm, something which is transparent ... what use would that be Wink

As for it breaking, unlikely unless it suffered a hard knock ... cage windscreens are actually part of the structure of the cage these days and they are made of glass!!

Why not get a plastic version if you are worried about breaking the glass version Thumbs Up

All the best ... Barry

yeah you cheeky auld bugger I did realise (would be more prone to breaking on the MZ as that thing shakes the hell out of every component)... but I thought maybe there was a better reason for using glass Evil or Very Mad anyway, at least the comment about plastic version is useful...didn't see any on my ebay Laughing

Did I mention, I'm waiting for Buster and Jeff to arrive so we can head off for the Euro trip Laughing
(suppose I better pack my stuff)

I promised I'd stay behind them so we wouldn't get lost... but that means I'll have to look at a Harley for a week Surprised Thumbs Down

TBH, I never really had anything against Harleys, till the other night... definately not my cup of tea

Glass filter housings are quite tough - probably easier to break those plastic clear ones.

I never knew that you could anodize chrome? Seems that someone didn't think about the wording.

Why would you need glass? why not plastic? It would be cheaper and tougher.

I'd say the glass was tougher than plastic, easier to clean and probably makes it easier to see the bits of 'stuff' floating around. That said I still think its 90% bling.

Sickpup had some small plastic filters, that work fine and were easy to hide out the way.

While on this topic with the unfiltered often called dirty fuel you find in the stans and mongolia what would you take to filter the fuel before it goes into your tank?.

In that a Mr Funnel is expensive has a low flow rate AND is bulky....

some sort of cloth anybody any ideas?.

Tights/coffee filter etc, or any other fine mesh material

Not going to stop water mixed in with fuel from going into your tank.

Actually, water won't flow through a good paper filter, nor even a very-fine-mesh one.

Ooo er! , never thought I'd have to put a pair of tights in my kit, I can imagine it now on a border and a guard spots it, and holds it up... Laughing
