I hear that 2005+ hyosungs are decent, pre 2005 however...fall apart in the wind?. You can restrict any bike..but some bikes take it better than others.
I personaly wouldnt bother with a 250, its life span would be..well non existant. Get yourself a 600 mate and get it restricted . Thats what i did anyway. ____________________ Vlogging - www.youtube.com/caprio85

@ adama pics or it didn't happen
Dunc - there was a review in bike magazine between the Hyo 250 and the Ninja. On paper the Hyosung was miles better but after the test they said the Ninja was much lighter and was built better overall.
I would say get a 600 as well. If you're not too sure then maybe a lower powered 600 like a Monster?
Basically there is a whole world of bikes to restrict, the way I see it is that you MIGHT get bored of a 250 quickly and want to change. There loads of ways to go about it: Buy a cheap 250 then upgrade OR save your money and get something bigger. Hope it helps

The GT 650 is pretty much a SV 650, as the engine is designed by the same guy. He left Suzuki for Hyosung to get more design freedom. So restricting should not be a issue.
Try giving Startrights a call or email, they build these up and should give you the info you need. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

I used to own a 2001 Hyosung Cruise 2. Infact, my ex still owns and rides it. It runs competely fine! Been with us for 6 or 7 years now. The Hyosung has proven to be more reliable, infact, than any bike me, or my father have owned in that time (Suzuki's, BMW's, Yamaha's and my current Triumph).
Three people have now used it to learn on as their first bike, so it hasn't had an easy life either. Oh, it has had one part replaced. It apparently needed a new coil while a friend was using it. |
Aah yes, the J&S special, I can remember eyeing them up for a long, long time as they were something like £1399 new! |
