Hi
Better success than me.
I got the power valves connected up, but not certain they are connected correctly. Looks like the power valves resting position is meant to be open, and then close when idling.
Swapped on the decent set of forks (rechromed and rebuilt a while back).
Anyway got it running. The exhausts were blowing around the manifold though but new Yamaha exhaust gaskets seem to have fixed that (rather than the ones with the pattern full gasket set). One set of pipes have a hole and a crack on the l/h pipe near the front. The other set have been repaired in that area, but there is also a small blow there. And found that I don't have the manifolds for the spare race pipes I have. So 3 sets of pipes and none currently useable! Trying to decide what to do exhaust wise. Stock exhausts seem pretty rare 2nd hand, and are hideously expensive new. Nikkon pipes are fairly cheap but not sure how good they are and I would prefer a stock system. Jolly Moto pipes are hideously expensive. JL exhausts are not cheap but at least are stainless.
All the best

Hi
Think the spares I have are Nikkon ones. The JL ones in stainless would suit me and are about the same price (bit cheaper) as the Jolly Moto ones. Although I would far prefer standard ones.
A pair of new exhausts from CMSNL would be about 800 euro, which is probably more than the bike is worth. However they do list the gasket that goes around the baffle at the end which has gone on one pipe and that is only 6 euro.
Need to sort out the power valves today and rebuild the rear brake master cylinder.
All the best

Hi
Hope you don't need to fill up with petrol in a hurry .
Those pins on mine appear too short. They barely locate the bars.
I got the exhausts on and the stuck baffle out, and put in a pair of half decent baffles. Just need to get some of the gaskets for around the back of the baffles. Bike starts and runs OK now (loads of smoke, probably me being too generous with the 2 squeak oil when reassembling it).
Rebuilt the rear brake master cylinder and still couldn't bleed the brakes through. So took the caliper to pieces and found a lump of seal missing. Went to put them together with the new seals I had only to find those seals are wrong (maybe the caliper has been swapped at some point).
All the best

Hi
The baffles are standard. One was slightly mishapen and a git to get out. If you take them out they are a blocked tube with a couple of scoops for the gas to leave the tube, and then a couple more scoops for the gas to enter the tube. If you wanted to you could probably easily make up a replacement noisier baffle.
Suspect with the sheared off bolt it would be easiest to take the hanger off and stick it in a piller drill carefully lined up and drill the old bolt out with progressively larger drills. Suspect there is a good chance you could get it out without damaging the hanger.
All the best
